Here's mine

Hey there! 👋 My name is Rita Correiaand I hope you’re having a good Monday night.

I’m a junior frontend engineer and former digital project manager, passionate about building accessible, user-friendly web apps with cutting-edge technology.

About
Rita's Profile Picture

In 2008, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Science and Technology, which gave me solid foundations of user-centered design, computer science and coding.

I pursued a career as an Agile/digital project manager, helping brands, designers and developers ship digital experiences.

I bring a keen interest in aesthethics and a natural intersection of skills in frontend development and Agile project management, with 10 years of experience working with clients such as Burberry, Morrisons, Now TV (Sky), coordinating cross-functional teams, budget and workflows in fast-paced environments.

After 10 years in project management, I reignited my passion for programming.

I'm proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6), React, Firebase, Git, GitHub and command line.
In December 2020, I graduated from a JavaScript and React Development course with General Assembly to further deepen my skills and in February 2021 I landed my first Frontend Engineer role at Aduro.

Always eager to learn new technologies, I’m currently exploring more React, Next.js and D3.js, and interested in TypeScript.

I'm passionate about UX, UI design and web accessibility. I also enjoy writing tech articles, having been featured on DEV's Top 7.

Curious about my work experience and education?
